EGG PANIYARAM /EGG APPOS…Sounds intresting is it 🤔…Tastes yummy too❤…
I tried this to make my son eat appos as he doesn’t like appos and always says no to this ,….so made a variation using eggs,and it worked 😂 he loved it very much 😍😍…. He topped it with generous amount of grated cheese and used ketchup as a dip (doesn’t like chutney even) …
Mummy ka magic magic worked 😘 and now he never says no to Appos if eggs are added 😊…
Here i usually used paniyaram batter which is leftover or you can even make use of idli batter or make a fresh batter recipe already in my blog or check this link https://cookwithashu.wordpress.com/2015/02/27/appos-or-paddu/ and enjoy this for breakfast or as a evening snack 😊..
A healthy filling snack is ready for kids when they return from school ….
•left over idli batter/appe batter
•2 well beaten eggs
•2 finely chopped greenchillies
•1 medium onion finely chopped
•1/2 “ginger chopped
•Few chopped curryleaves
•Few pudina leaves chopped
•Few coriander leaves chopped
•1/4 tsp asafoetida powder
•1/4 tsp turmeric powder
•3/4 tsp cumin seeds
•1/2 coarse powdered pepper
•Salt as needed
• oil to drizzle
▪ Mix all together well and rest the batter for15 minutes
▪ Heat paniyaram skillet(appe pan) well,drizzle oil in each compartments and pour batter and cook on medium heat covered..
▪check after few minutes,if it’s base is cooked (golden )flip it and cook other side till done…
▪Enjoy with ketchup or chutney!
* while serving kids top it with cheese they will just love
*can add veggies like carrot, peas, beans to make healthy..
*Vegetarians can skip eggs and make appos using other ingredients..
