SEVEN CUPS BARFI

SEVEN CUPS BARFI….as the name suggests this recipe needs 5 different  ingredients of measuring 1 cup each plus additional sugar of 2 cups …..This sweet is just melt in mouth recipe ….if you use correct measurements then this barfi is never to fail ….Holi is around so prepare this easy and delicious Barfi and enjoy with family and friends …

INGREDIENTS

• 1 cup Gram flour (besan)
• 3 cups sugar
•1 cup ghee
•1 cup fresh coconut or dessicated coconut
•1 cup milk
•1 tsp cardamom powder

METHOD

▪ Grease a plate with ghee and keep aside
▪ Take a thick bottom pan /kadai mix all ingredients without lumps,switch on gas and cook on medium flame till a thick mass is formed together (keep stirring it as there are chances of burning it)

▪Add elaichi powder mix well
▪By this time you can see the mixture  starts leaving bottom of the kadai or pan,this means your mixture is ready to set

▪Now remove this to the greased plate and spread evenly using a greased rolling pin
▪Set this for 30 minutes to cool
▪Cut this to desired shapes and enjoy !

NOTE

*I have used fresh coconut here
*chopped nuts of your choice can be used but original recipe is without anything…
*you can reduce the quantity of sugar to 21 / 2 cups ,I have tried this it comes just perfect but original recipe calls for 3 cups(for less sweetness use 21/2 cup sugar)
*Don’t change any other measurments of given ingredients..
