SIMPLE ZUNKHA

This is a side dish for roti, chapati’s made with gramflour and some masala in it ….this is also called as junka/ pithla….
Easy side dish ….its just like pithla but not exactly like pithla/methi zhunka recipe which I have mentioned before in my blog but here some variations I have done….
Try this….. you will love it easy and quick side dish when you have nothing veggies in your kitchen..

INGREDIENTS

•1/2cup besan /gram flour
•1medium onion chopped
•1/2tsp mustard seeds
•5/6 curryleaves
•1cup water
•2tblsp oil
•1tsp limejuice

For grinding(grind to fine or coarse paste)

•3 greenchilles or more according to your spice level
•2tblsp coconut grated
•5 flakes garlic
•2 tbsp corianderleaves
•1small piece cinnomon
•2 cloves
•1tsp cumin seeds/jeera
•1/4tsp turmeric powder

METHOD
▪mix gram flour and water well so that there are no lumps in it
▪grind all the ingredients mentioned for grinding with little water to coarse paste or fine paste
▪heat kadai add oil,add mustard seeds let it splutter add onions ,curryleaves, turmeric fry for 2 minutes(onion must be little crunchy)
▪add ground masala fry awhile till raw smell goes
▪Now add salt ,gram flour paste  mix well and cook this on medium flame for 3 min with closed lid…
▪Cook till dry or have this semi dry….
▪atlast add limejuice and enjoy with hot chapati’s or rice rotis or rotis…
▪I have garnished with little coconut gratings snd coriander leaves
