This is a starter recipe or a perfect tea time snack which is usually prepared on sunday evening at my home ,crispy outside soft inside….
A healthy mouthwatering traditional indian snack…. you can enjoy this perfect tea time snack without much hesitation as less oil is used as fried on tawa and all ingredients are healthy and handy too….
You will surely have your family asking for more….
   Kids will surely enjoy this tikkis /patties or kebabs…
Very easy and quick healty recipe is as follows


• 2 potato
• 3/4 cup green peas
• 2 cups spinach/ palak
• 1 tsp gingergarlic paste
• 2 Green chilli (or according to individual spice level)
• 1 small piece ginger
• 2/3 tblsp besan/ gram flour
• 1tsp garam masala powder 
• 1/4 tsp cumin powder
•1tsp Amchur powder/dry mango powder
• 2 tsp crushed kasurimeti
• Salt according to taste
• oil to drizzle
• few cashews for garnishing its optional


▪ pressure cook potatoes along with green peas and water for 2 whistles in medium flame
▪Wash and clean spinach(remove the thick stalk)
▪Boil water,add spinach along ,let it boil for a minute or two.
▪Drain and wash palak with cold water to retain its green colour.
▪Drain the green peas and potatoes completely (make sure water is completely drained otherwise the dough becomes gooey).
▪Grind ginger, green chilli, palak, green peas to a paste.
▪grate the potato or crumble this.(drain water completely then use)
▪To this mix ground green paste, amchur powder, garam masala powders, salt, gram flour, cumin powder, kasurimeti and gingergarlic paste.
▪Make a stiff dough without adding water
▪Make equal sized balls out of it.
▪Grease your palms with water or oil to make sure it don’t stick .
▪Now flatten this to tikki/patties shape and press a cashew piece lightly to each tikki and keep aside.
▪Heat a tawa and drizzle some oil.
▪Now place the kababs on tawa and cook both sides to golden and crisp, soft inside
▪Cook this on medium flame or low flame.
▪serve with pudina chutney or tomato ketchup….


* If your dough becomes gooey or sticky you can add little gramflour to make it stiff
*you can also grill this in a preheated oven for 5-7 min both sides or bake this on 220 deg c
*this can be also deep fried
