TAWA PULAV

This is a very famous Mumbai street food….
   This is usually prepared in a big kadai in the streets of Mumbai,
    The taste of eating in the streets is something different that we can’t get at home….
But we can’t always have street food so here i have a fantastic tawapulav prepared at home very aromatic, very spicy…
    The taste, the aroma that we get out of this while preparing is awesome….Do try and enjoy street food at home..

INGREDIENTS

•1-2cups cooked rice or according to necessity
•1onion sliced
•1capsicum chopped into cubes
•1cup frozen or fresh peas
•3 tomatoes chopped
•2tblsp pavbhaji masala
•1/4tsp turmeric
•Salt
•1small bunch coriandaer leaves chopped
•6 byadagi red chillies
•5 flakes garlic
•2tblsp oil
•1tsp fennel seeds

METHOD

▪ first grind byadagi and garlic with 4tsp of water to a fine paste.
▪ Heat a thick bottom kadai add oil when heated add fennel seeds,  onions fry till brown
▪ add capsicum, peas fry awhile
▪ add tomatoes, turmeric ..cook till tomatoes are jucy
▪When tomatoes are cooked add ground chilly pasye and pav bhaji masala….cook well till oil comes out
▪Add coriander leaves give a quick stir..
▪Add cooked rice, salt according to the availability of masala….
▪Mix well on high flame so that rice gets completely coated with masala….
▪Tawa pulav is ready
▪Serve with raitha or plain..
