Friends most of us don’t like upma isn’t it…but use of correct rava/suji makes upma better and also when you have this garma garm it tastes best…. Here is a quick recipe of upma where I have used fine rice rava …
Upma rava comes in 3 different types…fine wheat rawa, fine rice rava  and a thick wheat rava which is also called as khanva rava..Here I will show the picture of wheat rava and rice rava so that it becomes easy for you


▪1cup fine rice rawa
▪3cups hot water
▪ 2slit greenchilles
1 medium onion chopped
▪1spring curryleaves
▪11/2tsp urd dal
▪2tsp channadal / bengalgram dal
▪1tsp sugar
▪3tblsp  grated coconut
▪1tsp ghee
▪2tsp oil
▪1/2tsp mustard
Salt to taste


▪ Heat a kadai add oil and ghee..
▪add mustard let it splutter then add urd dal, channadal fry till golden brown then add greenchilles and curry leaves fry awhile add onions fry till transperent then add rawa,sugar fry well till u get a nice aroma( 5min on medium flame) then add  hot water mix once let it boil then add salt and coconut mix well and serve when water is completely evaporated…serve this with plain sev…
