A easy north indian dal which is prepared without much ingredients….
I usually prepare this for chapatis, and sometimes for rice also….Many prepare this simple dal in many ways…but
My recipe for dal Palak is as follows..
1buch palak washed and finely chopped
1 medium onion chopped
1 medium tomato chopped
1 chopped greenchilly
1tsp cumin seeds
5garlic peeled and chopped
1/2tsp turmeric powder
1+1/2tsp chilly powder
1tsp dhania powder
2 +1tsp Oil
▪ Pressure cook tuvardal with a pinch turmeric and few drops of oil till soft and mashy..
▪heat kadai add oil, cumin seeds, fry till aroma comes then add garlic, greenchille and onion fry for few seconds then add tomato, turmeric powder, fry awhile then add palak fry well add 1/2tsp chilly powder, dhania powder, fry then add mashed dal , water (if little thick it tastes good)and salt boil well…..
▪now to this prepared dal give a tadka of oil 1tsp and 1tsp chilly powder…mix and serve this with roti, chapati’s or rice….https://cookwithashu.files.wordpress.com
