This is a breakfast recipe which is easy and tasty, we can also have this for tea time...I always use rice semiya of Ganesh or Anil brand...this is available in all stores, this doesn’t require frying or doesn’t create  a mess in preparing semiya….a perfect semiya is prepated even water is more….do try this..


2cups rice vermicelli (Anil/Ganesh brand)
1 medium onion chopped
2 tomatoes chopped
4-5 beans chopped finely
1 carrot chopped
1/4cup frozen peas
2 tblsp peanut
1tsp mustard
1spring curryleaves
3-4cups water
1tsp limejuice


3tblsp coriander leaves
2tblsp grated coconut
1tsp jeera
1piece cinnamon
2 cloves
5 flakes garlic
3greenchilles or less according to taste
1/4tsp turmeric


1) grind all the ingredients mentioned for grinding
2) Heat kadai add oil,,mustard seeds let it splutter add curryleaves, onions, fry awhile add vegetables fry till done add tomatoes fry till jucy then add ground masala fry well till raw smell goes add water boil well then add 2cups rice semiya ,salt mix well and close lid for sometime check often till done serve with limejuice on top…

    Hi ashwini
    Big fan of ur recipes…I needed a simple chicken tandoori recipe which can be easily done on stove top…plz…
