DAL KICHIDI

This is my all time favourite…. I am always ready to have this anytime of the day , no much of masalas, a complete nutrious meal I can say,
      when you have fever or not feel like having anything , dal kichidi is a perfect meal do prepare and enjoy this simple and fantastic dish…and don’t forget to leave your opinion about this dish when you prepare..

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup rice
3/4 cup moongdal

FOR TEMPERING
2tsp oil
1 tsp ghee
1tsp jeera
10-12 pepper corns
2 small pieces of cinnamon
2 cloves
5/6 curryleaves
Hing a pinch
1greenchilly slit
1 dry red chilly broken
1″ ginger chopped finely
1 small onion chopped
1 medium tomato chopped
1/4tsp turmeric
1/4tsp chilly powder
6 glass of water
Salt according to taste

METHOD

1)Wash rice and moongdal and keep aside for 10 minutes in water.
2)Now heat cooker add  all the tempering ingredients one by one except ghee, water and salt
3) Now add washed rice and moongdal without water fry awhile then add water boil well add salt and ghee close lid and take 3-4 whistles…
   Now your dal kichidi is ready to be served….you can have this as it is with little ghee on top or with raitha…
NOTE
*If you want dal kichidi to be dry then reduce water quantity…
*usually this will be served semi dry consistency…
